Waffle Ice Cream Sandwiches
These past few weeks, since my mom has been gone, I have had to make my own breakfast. Waffles are the easy to make—I simply buy the pre-made ones from Stop & Shop—and have thus become my go-to breakfast. However, the taste has quickly become old. In an effort to make my breakfast more interesting, I came up with waffle ice cream sandwiches as a solution. For these waffles though, I decided to make them from scratch using a waffle maker. The result was irresistible; the addition of just a little ice cream and the pecans only made the freshly made waffle even better.
Waffle Ice Cream Sandwiches (Serves 1) (15 Minutes)
Ingredients:
-waffle batter
-Haagen Daz butter pecan ice cream
1) Follow directions on waffle maker. After you cook 2 waffles, cut each into four equal pieces.
2) Put ice cream carton in microwave for 2 seconds to get a softer texture.
3) Use butter knife to spread ice cream onto one piece. Make sure not to press ice cream into waffle so that you keep the waffles crispy. Place another piece on top of ice cream spread to make a sandwich!
4) Make 4 sandwiches. Serve and enjoy!
