Boston Street Style (Week 3): Surplice

I'm always looking for comfortable clothes that are still interesting. Lately, I've been seeing a ton of surplice necklines. The draping is flattering on all kinds of body types, and makes any outfit look a thousand times more elegant.

This neckline has popped up on all kinds of pieces, from dresses to tops to rompers. The depth of the neckline ranges; some draping drops as far as their stomach, while others are completely work-appropriate.

I especially love the surplice neckline on dresses, as it adds a more sophisticated touch, whether that be for work, for brunch or for a cocktail party.

I love rompers, and this cute surplice neckline only makes my favorite piece even better. The draping really makes rompers more elegant, especially with the short hemline.
