As I was looking up potential DIY projects, I found this really interesting site (http://www.fashiondivadesign.com/13-wonderful-diy-jewelry-crafts/). There were a ton of great, easy ideas. For my first DIY project, I wanted to make my own variation of the bow ring. Once I began though, I found the wire that I had bought a lot more difficult to work with than I had initially thought. It was a lot thicker and harder to manipulate. Despite the extra effort I had to put into this project, I found the sturdiness of the wire made it so I didn't have to wrap the wire around itself; instead, the wire has held its shape really well throughout the day, even as I was working out. I might try thinner wire in the future, but I'm still happy with the final product!
Materials:
1) Silver 18 Gauge Anchor Wire
2) Wire Cutters
Steps:
1) Wrap anchor wire around your finger of choice using the wire cutters to shape.
2) Cut wire, making sure its length is just around 2 cm longer than the circumference of your finger.
3) Begin shaping the front of the wire in a "U" with the wire cutter.
4) Once you get the desired shape, readjust the ring to fit the curves of your finger.
5) Cross one end of the wire over the other... Now, your ring is ready to wear!
