DIY Spray Paint

The final product... still dying around the edges
I love the look of spray paint, with its darkened middle and dotted edges. And so when I came across a "recipe" on Pinterest, I decided to try to make my own. I found it pretty hard to keep my sprays consistently transparent, and if I were to do this project again, I would mix my spray paint more thoroughly before spraying, but I'm happy overall with the results!

DIY Spray Paint (20 minutes)

Materials:
-water
-acrylic paint
-spray bottle
-paper stencil
-tape

1) Add one part water, one part acrylic paint color of your choice to a small spray bottle.

2) Mix your concoction with a chopstick, making sure you get an even consistency.
3) Do a few test sprays. Add water or acrylic paint, keeping in mind the consistency you want.
4) Print out stencil  (I originally tried the girl with a balloon in the picture, but decided to go with a seahorse instead). Cut and tape onto desire surface (in my case, glass).
5) Use tape to line the edges of the stencil, and remove stencil.
6) Begin to spray. When you're finished, remove the tape... and you're done!
