DIY Tape Painting on Canvas

Using tape when painting provides that straight-edged graphic accent that is otherwise quite difficult to achieve. One can be random with their placement of the tape or create a complex diagrammatic design.

1. Start with a blank canvas.

2. Paint the canvas with a design, it can be as simple or as intricate as you want.

4. Put the tape design on. Again, this can be as simple or intricate as you want. Keep in mind though that the less tape you use, the less your initial design will show through.

5. Paint back over the whole canvas, covering everything.

6. Peel off the tape. But make sure the paint is 100% completely dry, otherwise, the lines won't be as straight as you want them to be.
